TUESDAY 10 DECEMBER – 2PM MURIWAI MARAE:

The hoe from Te Papa arrives at Muriwai Marae for a powhiri
There will be karakia and korero, this will last for 3 hours.

The hoe will travel into town, with the Pou Pou (Rukupo –  Toko Toru Tapu).

SUNDAY 15 DECEMBER – TOI TĀMANUHIRI OPENS AT MUSEUM

9am Train leaves Muriwai
Whanau from Muriwai and Tawatapu can catch the train into town
10am Train arrives in town.

Hikoi to the Museum along river walkway, with Mauri (kohatu and patu)
11am Powhiri at Museum

MONDAY 16 DECEMBER – WEAVERS WANANGA AT MUSEUM, TOI TĀMANUHIRI OPENS AT VERVE

10am – Toi Tāmanuhiri Whatu Raranga:
Nanny Kui Emmerson, Aunty Parekowhai Whaitiri & weavers will be starting wananga at Museum.

5pm – Toi Tāmanuhiri kei Verve:
informal gathering and opening of exhibition at Verve Cafe

SATURDAY 21ST DECEMBER – TOI TĀMANUHIRI OPENS AT TE MURIWAI MARAE

10am – Opening programme:
Karakia
Korero
Waiata
Whakatau
Hakari

SUNDAY 22ND DECEMBER – TA MOKO AT TE MURIWAI MARAE

Maia Gibbs and Steve Smith  start their Ta Moko wananga.

MONDAY 23 DECEMBER – TA MOKO AT TOI TAMANUHIRI MUSEUM

Steve Smith and Maia Gibbs –   Ta Moko wananga at Museum.
